For many years, Sichuan food was overlooked in Hong Kong. The spicy tastes of South West China were without a home, without an identity. So 42 years ago our founder, the late Mr. Lee did something about that. A passionate pioneer of the F&B scene in 1960s Hong Kong, he noticed an increasing appetite for Sichuan cuisine among his friends and family. So with the help of his two sons he established Red Pepper. From the outset, our mission was clear; to give the people what they want. And like so few Hong Kong restaurants, over forty years on we’re staying true to ourselves. Then as now, we believed that every night gives us something to celebrate. Each dish we have created along the way and every diner who has visited us has been a part of our history. And they will always be part of our future.
